Behind lies what
In the veil
Doors are shut
Follow the trail
Open them up
Are you hearing?

A step is but a step taken forward
A life is but a life taken
A standard is but a standard lowered
A thought is but a thought forsaken
Each step taken forward can retract
Each life taken is foregone
Each standard lowered can impact
Each thought forsaken is redrawn
