Symbolic Poem.

Darkness engulfed me,

Her hands wrapping around me as I tried to climb.

She outstretched her hand in a way of kindness,

Something I had not figured to be real.

She shimmered red in places,

Black in others.

Her body swaying hungrily.

She inched towards me,

Tumbling ever so carefully over the floor,

In my direction.

Light blocked me from Darkness.

Battling each other,

For me, for my soul.

Darkness was listless,

For not getting me. Something she thought,

And thought proudly of.

Light enforced a rule of hatred.

All creatures of good were rulers,

All forces of evil were exiled.

And so it was that.

A simple matter of intrigued hate,

And a simple matter of delight for all around.

Darkness lightly shadowed me,

But light kept me bright.

Engulfed no longer by darkness,

But stretched timidly in it’s direction, still.

The enforcers of good lay silently by,

Waiting for another battle.

Let the battle continue,

For more years, yet, to come.

The Sun lays absently by my side.

The Moon stands quietly above me.

They are simple matter of simple life,

Forever in debt to each other.

And forever in peace with a treaty.

A treaty of pure delight,

Pure kindness,

And pure truth for fairness.
