Its fascinating what one finds at the clearance table at a local book store.

Going to the local mall we have Saturday
turned out to be nothing but a blast.
My daughter,granddaughters and me
walked the entire mall that fun filled day.
Chinese ,pretzels and soda was bought,
lets not forget the chocolate that we ate.
Shoes for the grandchildren was bought
due to the fact that they asked for them.
But  my greatest treasure that day turned
out to be found at  a book store in the mall.
It was a book called Best Poems of the
english launguage by Harold Bloom.
As I slowly sifted through its many pages,
I saw page after page of beautiful poetry.
William Morris wrote A Garden By The Sea
while Rudyard Kipling wrote The Vampire.
I was in poets heaven as I paid for the book,
anticipating hours of reading with a pot of coffee.
Now the book sits by my computer for right now
waiting for me to open it up when my kids leave.
But my treasured new book serves double purpose,
it will also give added inspiration in a writers block.
All I may need to do is to read the beautiful poetry
and a line or two may give me an idea for a project.
Naturally not taking away or stealing from that author,
for I would never dream of stealing another poets work.
But beneath blue eyes, fair skin and short brunette hair,
lies the heart of a very talent poet who stands on her own.
She possess a true poets heart that wants a way to really
express her thoughts and feelings no matter what they are.
I’m hoping that Harold Bloom,Christopher smart or Robert
Burns  wont begrudge this Triond poet a small thing like that.
And would you even begin to believe me if I told you I went  to
the book store to buy a large print dictionary due to failing vision?

Reading poetry is a brilliant way to inspiring unique writing. Taking a drive is also a good way. Thanks for this tip!
