Just sharing my thoughts I felt deeply in the church today.
Inspired by my Dad’s sermon.
The worship references were Matthew 21:1-11 and Zechariah 9:9.
Here comes the King, the King who will rule God’s children,
“Hosanna to the Son of David!”
“Hosanna in the Highest!”
With hope, joy and content they welcomed him,
spreading green palm leaves,
Many elated in their hearts saying ‘Here comes the ruler,
Jews hoped that He would free them from the Romans,
The sick felt that He is the healer, a miracle healer for the blind and even the dead,
Many thought that He is the great teacher to proclaim salvation,
But most of them declared that He is the Messiah.
The whole city of Jerusalem stirred and Questioned, “Who is this?”
As for me,
He is the only King, who rode a donkey, gave its royalty,
He is the only King, who was meek and humble for sacrifice,
He is the only King, who joyful went ahead to be killed for the lamb, as a lamb,
He is the only King who will surely roar back mightily as a lion very soon.
The King became a lamb; the only sinless one went all set to be nailed for me,
So pure and Holy was He,
The Son of God meekly and full of love, shed his blood for me,
Jesus I Love You and I await for the day when,
I will welcome you as a Lion who will rule this world.
