Terrifying poem about a violent attack.

A desperate scream,

Shattered glass,

Footsteps pounding,

No help is coming.

Why me?

What have I done wrong?

And then the eruptions,

Brutal violence,

Brutal attack,

Bloody, terrifying images.

A call for help,

An arrest is made.

Taken to emergency,

Endless fright,

Is the suffering finally over

Or has it just begun?

This is exactly is what’s happening to Indians living in Australia.

It’s interesting that in France now, where they are pushing for legislation even against constant verbal abuse and denigration in relationships, there are people who should know better who are saying that government should not ‘interfere’ in people’s relationships.

A very well presented piece. Your words paint a vivid if violent picture.
