A poem of relief.

A weight is off my shoulders,

After 33 years,

I have peace within my heart,

While the scars,

The memories,

Have and always will be there,

The nightmares are over,

Nights of peaceful sleep,

Dealing with what happened,

Reporting to authorities of what happened,

No more fear of telling half truth, half lie,

The world is my oyster now,

I feel freed from that abuse,

I close my eyes,

A rainbow awaits me,

To start my life anew,

Dreams shall come true,

Like a mighty warrior,

I shall cross that rainbow,

To a world,

Of peace,

Joy,

Laughter,

Now that,

A weight is off my shoulders.

It’s nice to have the weight lifted off your shoulders.

Its wonderful once the weight of something has been lifted… it happens off and on for me but always comes back I hope your weight stays lifted

Oh yes, it is so much better when the weight is lifted off your shoulders. Thank you Darla and Prettywolf
