Staring into the flames.

Straring into a log fire I saw many many things,

Dream faces from shadows smile at me what a joy it brings,

Sitting in my comfortable chair from the world I draw apart,

Ghosts cross the threshold of my memories a doorway to my heart,

So I draw the heavy curtains against the twilight gloom,

Shut out the darkness as night descends in my living room,

Close the doors, turn off the lights, total silence sends,

It’s off to have a rendevous with long gone absent friends.
