The warmer days are so uplifting.

The wind blew gently through the trees
Which swayed and bowed in the welcome breeze.
The winter’s cobwebs freed from minds
As weary bodies at last unwind.
*
Golden daffodils in fields do thrive,
A sure sign nature has come alive.
And in the distance a stream flows past
Welcoming the end of the wintery blasts.
*
Everywhere the land feels fresh and new,
The lambs in the fields and the skies of blue.
The dormant roses to warm air awake
As glistening dewdrops from leaves they shake.
*
I rise up early and throw windows out wide
Then with a lightened heart I venture outside,
And take in the air of a fresh spring day
So grateful for the warmth that is on its way.
