You can’t deny it when it’s true.
I’m driving, deeper into you
I’m stalling, stopping
I’m falling closer
To a world filled with lights,
You can’t deny it when it’s true
My heels click in the steel of night
Under the moon’s crystal prisms
They shine so bright
I tip my hat to you, to passersby
I nod my head to the street corner
And notice the flutter of a butterfly
I shudder, after the breeze
And draw my coat tighter
Around the new hope
You have recently shown me
I watch shadows touch my walls
I feel calm by a candle’s humble flame
It dances in your wind, freely
So soft and perfect
Alive and beautifully
