A world full of contradictions and imminent surprises

In which life seems to be a mere game

For powerful people who would do anything for money

And the simple ones living a life of limitations and pain.

Nations are fighting for reasons many don’t understand

People are dying for reasons others find hard to comprehend

Who gave some the right to portray life in their own wrong way

And why is it that others who try their best

find no way out from this parade?

Where are we coming from and where are we going

A question asked by many generations throughout the ages in making

Do actually people learn from their fallings?

And why is that we rarely maintain any good major changes?

History seems to want to bring out the pains

Again and again without remorse, in the fast lane.

Why don’t we look back and see through the wisdom

Accumulated moment by moment,

From shocks of death, peaceful times or battles for freedom.

World leaders come and go, touching on the essentials or leaving a blow

Reaching their value to the highest ideals of human potential  

Or falling short of peoples’ expectations

Abusing the values that makes humanity live its beautiful mythologies and creations.

What is the antidote to the modern world’s insanity

And how can we hold onto the beauty created within it?

Both intertwined in a detached loving embrace

creating confusion and chaos playing with people’s brains.

Chess here, chess there, this is all there is.

The art of war has been the winner of even the forgiving trees.  

Someone is smiling, another is crying,

contradictions, fights, separations or the infusion of it all.

Domination and abuse reigns tall.

On the other hand, those who seem to care,

Those who see the value of a human life in despair

Whether he or she is small or big in the judgmental eye

Make a difference in you and I.

They bring the best in everyone and see it in everything

They pull the rope from the other end

Be on their side and you will comprehend

What means to be a winner!

Day in, day out in full conjunction

Their minds think of nothing but the value of life. Awareness!

Every thought and every action

Result in a champion of human interaction.

The consciousness, the wisdom of many if sought out and understood

Bring it all together in one natural direction

Without fanfare or displays of fame.

We should seek out what makes us human

What makes us sane.
