Truth is the only wish.

If you noticed me
Would you glance my way?
Would you at least pretend
You have something to say?

You smile,
But, behind your eyes
There’s a curtain shielding
Your pain

But, I can see you
I can see through the walls
You think no one can break

You think the world’s shaded untrue
You think no one can see you
But, deep in your heart,
You know I do

You twist and turn
In your world of confusion
In your world of innocence
And isolated disillusion

You walk with your head
Buried in angst and doubt
With shoulders unyielding
With a heart screaming out

You smile,
But, behind your eyes
There’s a curtain shielding
Your pain

But, I can see you
I can see through the walls
You think no one can break

You think the entire world’s untrue
You think no one can see you
But, deep in your heart,
You know I do
