Writers need acknowledgement.

You commented on my work

I’m flattered

Your criticism would in no way

Make me battered.

That’s the weakness of a writer, you see

Therein lies the soft corner

You stole the book I’d written

 I did not mind

You did not return them;

Yet my gratitude to you

Lies perfectly enshrined.

In solitude you commune with me

That’s the way I fancy,

I’d like it to be.

    yes, true. A writer feels bad only about getting ignored. He does not mind negative criticisms

    I really liked your poem! I agree that writers don’t like to be ignored. I think we should all try to support each other.
