Young man do you think you are full grown
Do you think the seeds of your life are already sown?
Why in the world are you doing all this cursing
I thought it was your poetry that you were rehearsing.
You don’t know that you are cursing out the wrong person.
Don’t you know that your parents really want to understand,
all the events that you’re going through within this land.
All you have to do right now is wash your clothes,
and listen to the rules of the house and that’s the way it goes.
No one in your family really wants to put you on the street,
Why don’t you go to school so you won’t be a dead beat?
We want to see you get a good college education,
so you could be one of the best persons within this nation.
