Finding out who you are and the fear that may come in the wake of it.
An aching in my bones
Tells me this is not working
He’s a voice in my head
Letting me know
I have to change,
The way I’m thinking.
Exhaustion creeps upon me
Like a hunting dog
In longing for a deer
Still my misery lies
Over me like a rock
Carried away by fear.
Hurricanes and tornadoes
Cut spirals through my mind
Tell them I can’t hold on any longer
I’m told take one step at a time.
But what can I do
When every step’s a mountain range,
I can’t finish climbing?
When every breath
Is just another thing
Which I take to be alarming?
When it all seems like a hill
I’m rolling down?
When everyone’s about me
But I have no one around?
