I have known people in abusive relationships. There is hope and you can get out. I hope in some small way this will inspire someone to seek help.

He sits in quiet contemplation.

Awaiting her return.

Harsh words said in hot frustration.

Once spoken in the air they seem to burn.

Sorrow filled and angry still the heart contorts and twists.

Can she not see how this hurts him the torture in his soul.

Shouts and screams, and words it seems can quickly turn to fists.

Apologies laid on the floor, perhaps never to be whole.

He is  to screwed up, and doesn’t give a damn

There is something his heart seems to lack.

He says that I love you, but that’s just a sham.

You should run and never come back.

How many times must he hit you.

How many wounds have to heal?

Before you realize the love that you had,

was a dream that could never be real.

Please don’t forgive him, or say I love you.

As you wipe the blood off your face.

Please run from him ,he is no good for you.

You need to get out of this place.

Walk away , run away as far as you can.

Perhaps you can start a new life.

Find the one who will be a good man.

Love him and become his wife.

This is the thing with abused women. They seek help then return to their abusive partners. It’s a vicious cycle. Thanks FJ for giving attention to this.
