They have no moral right to fill the air
With chemicals that might destroy us all —-

Poem:

They have no moral right to fill the air

With chemicals that might destroy us all –

Enemies of Nature who would dare

Heed not the exigency of her call

To leave the shorelines and the wilds secure.

The oceans free, to clear the atmosphere

Of substances of death; to render pure

What Nature has intended as so dear

To man and beast alike; true freedom lives

Not by the exercise of selfish will,

But by what Nature means, what Nature gives

So generously, and giving, should instill

Infusions of new hope for man on earth;

Tomorrow’s nightmare never should prevail

If now we cease abusing Nature’s worth

In whose embrace, how could man ever fail.
