This could be the sad lonely cowboys last game of poker.

I got an ace in my hand
And nothing good with it
Here I’m staring at my cards
Thinking of when I split

The grunge across the table
Eyes me like a killer
Yet I think of my lady
Pain I’ve led her under

I got an ace in my hand
And nothing good with it
I’ve just bet my last dollar
This bluff I do commit

Playing against outlaws
They’d kill me without care
With my lady long gone gone
Maybe I just don’t care

I got an ace in my hand
And nothing good with it
Without my lady no more
Death sounds like my best fit

I could fake like I’m cheating
I’d hang tonight for sure
Throw away my three and five
Next cards will tell me poor

I got an ace in my hand
Next draw gave me two more
My heart just sunk deep away
Alive I do deplore

I think this one would set well to music. Nicely done.

I agree with Daisy. A nice one, Milton.
