And so it goes…

“…and when the words
were finally accepted as truth
he wept with joy and sorrow
for all that would be and had been.
There would be no place
to hide or to run away,
no direction to turn his face
from truth in lessons passed
through generations of abandon.
To work to heal wounds of time,
to hope for redemption some day,
to cherish the treasures found
and hold close the tiny truths
and wait to see if cleansing rains
would fall into his life again…”

I love this poem. Very touching read. Forgiveness is a beautiful gift, both to the giver and to the receiver. The title explains it very well.

I liked this. I really don’t know what to say. But I hate to leave the general “very nice poem” comment.

This poem presents a spiritual hope. One that has not come to me in my life.

We can seed the clouds for rain, Casey, by the acts of forgiveness and healing you outline. This is beautiful.
