This is about all I would need to do anything, to assert myself. It is about excuse after excuse, about watching time tic by, about wanting more for oneself then one is willing to work for.

I would need a shovel and a century,

Jackhammers and medication,

A lover who could care for me,

And the aid of my strongest hatred,

A liar who detected lies,

And a mental that was stateless,

I would need Honesty,

Probably the hardest thing, but I can take it,

I would need a human contact,

To reveal my revelations,

I’m getting better at that,

It just takes practice and I don’t lack that,

I need not hesitation,

It’s just too bad I have that,

Smack me in the face,

I get distracted by what’s abstract,

I need a life of hard work,

An ethic that does not exist,

I need to open up my mind,

And close it tight into a fist,

This is understood,

What I might find is scary,

In a race to take what’s good,

I start the clock and watch it vary.
