Just a poem I wrote about people and the masks they wear.
Actor, Actor, who are you?
Which face is true, which face is true?
I wish I knew, I wish I knew
Do even you know who you are?
So many masks, so many scars
Who is it there? Whose are those eyes?
So many lies, so many lies
Actor, Actor, who are you?
Which face is true, which face is true?
What dark secrets lie untold?
Within your heart, within your sould
Who is it now? Who is it there?
This isn’t fair, this isn’t fair
Actor, Actor, who are you?
Which face is true, which face is true?
Who are you? Do you know?
Whose face is it shoved down below?
Who is it there? Who hides so deep?
Without a word, the master sleeps
Do you remember, who is master here?
Or is it you that lives in fear?
Behind masks of gold and lace
Who is it there? Whose is the face?
Masks of blood and darkness too
Whose is the face, I wish I knew
Actor, Actor, who are you?
Which face is true, which face is true?
I wish I knew, I wish I knew
