A poem to inspire; a poem for victory.
A Shove in the Ribs
A Poke in the Eye
A Stab in the Back
A Kick in the Balls
A Broken Heart
Yet worse was still to come
Teary Eye was just a start
Bleeding nose was nothing
Swollen face was constant
The broken front tooth was consolation
Scars litter the face; the strain inescapable
It could have been worse
The race was not for the light feet
Neither for the heavy feet
The battle not for the Weak
Not for the Strong either
But a little luck; unfailing Providence
For “we fight not against flesh and blood”
This is the life…this is reality
Through the Mist and Storm
We endured thorny bushes
Through the Rocky paths
We endured the Hails
And embraced the winter
Looked death in the Eyes
A little swayed we were
Never subdued
Never broken; we never barged
Eyes fixed on the goal
The March was forward
Sun hid behind the Moon
Luck was Cursed
God’s anger on us; our sins overflowed
But a wise counsel heeded
A smart move
Divine Mercies
We Dominated!
That was the Goal
What was the Goal
To pass on the Torch
To make a new Path
To bend the Rules
And Defy Principles
All these we endured ad Victoriam
For Victory!
To the Greater Glory of God
Battles shall come tomorrow
That we expect
But Today
We Sing a Song… A Song of Triumph
Dare us they may
Our armoury await…
A Sword of Experience
A Bow of Endurance
An arrow of Perseverance
A Wisdom Helmet
A White Horse
A Shield of God
Fortified Body Armour
With these
We dismembered those before
Should an Adversary attempt
Again we shall triumph
For We saw Worse
Ad Victoriam!
Our Battle Cry
We March to Victory
One Step at a Time
One battle after another
Triumphs upon Triumphs
To the Glory of God!
