The year came up,
with little splendor!
The horrors of the 26th day of the eleventh month,
not forgotten!
Lighting up a new spirit,
of solidarity, unity and compassion!!

Engraved in our hearts,
the memories of those we lost in the years bygone,
Came the new year with new mysteries,
another one of joy and misery!
Losing some dear ones,
Learning about many others,
growing into the family!!

New adventures awaited us,
new experiences to behold,
some friends never to be forgotten,
some fights never to commit to memory!!

Some moments of life,
changing us forever,
becoming someone,
we never were!!

Flashes of friend ship,
Those moment of love,
feeling secure in the family’s hearth!
Eventful not, as it may seem,
Yet way more extra than ordinary!
Enjoying some gestures of affection,
from those who live very close to heart!!

But all good things have to come to an end,
to make way for something better!
And here we say Adios to a lively decade,
and mourn the summit of the decade’s Omega!
Here we rejoice with sound of the bugle,
and celebrate the beginning of a New Era,
with the trumpet and the royal kettledrum!!

Commencing a new list of expectations,
a new roll of enjoyment,
some new paths under construction,
some thorns clogging the way,
new destinies in the making,
new mountains to climb,
new rocks to jump over,
new goals to make,
new dreams to weave,
new fireworks to light up our lives,
some friends to make,
some rockets to fly,
some resolutions to break,
some affection to share!!

And in all,
as a reader’s delight,
in a poet’s plight,
via a CEO’s flight,
within the archer’s sight
with a wrestler’s might,
welcoming a new decade,
a new year,
a new Ten,
2010!!!
