A few poems I made for class.
Adrenaline
Above
Everyone told me
It was impossible.
They said I couldn’t but I could.
It was cold, the suns warmth shining on me
Come on! Just do it.
It hurts! My gut is pounding.
My heart is beating faster.
My blood is heating up!
I can feel the warmth traveling down my chest to my legs.
Adrenaline!
I must
Jump!
I
Did
It.
My heart is pounding.
The wind rushing into my face.
I see everything.
Above.
Try It
Should I try it?
Will the bridge be high?
Will the rope be strong enough?
Well, I might like it.
I think I should.
Paint Tree
That day was so dark.
In the forest.
Black barked trees.
No clouds above,
Only branches
With orange
Gold leafs.
Cornered behind trees,
In the south east.
A paintball passed by my eye
Trees covered in paint
Splat!
Blue yellow
Red
Pink
Green
Scattered all over me.
Under
The bridge above the water below.
The sky on top the rope under.
My rope, my safety line.
My heart start beating faster,
A drop of sweat dripping on my face
I jump
I’m falling fast
My head feels light, am I alive?
What
Was
Below
Is
Now
Above and
Once on top
Is now
Under.
