Nature walks and streams flow.
I placed a leaf into the stream
and followed along the bank,
I watched it dance and bounce around
until it finally sank.
The places it passed as it moved
the rocks and ripples lifted,
the gurgles and trickling noises,
along the stream it drifted.
It shaded minnows in the stream
I wonder what they thought,
as overhead the leaf went by
perhaps it was a dream?
Soon under it went and slid along the bed,
rolling, sliding, over and over it turned
until on a submerged stone it stuck
and so it’s rest, it earned.
