Here is another one of my poetic stream of consciousness pieces.

Adrift in a sea of reverie, I grew rapidly bemused.

The bereavement in my soul fluttered to the fore,

Escalating briskly toward an uncertain destination,

Elevating memories of loved ones, no longer here.

Regrets of past deeds left undone, too far from now.

Too late to reconcile, they stab me, needling my heart.

If I could but reach back, and do over past mistakes,

So many things I’d change, failures transformed.

The future lies before me, a blank slate on which to write

To choose a path with less regret, that past provides guidance.

It gives me opportunity not to yield those old errors again,

And with that direction, a brighter yet to come must be.

Learning from the past goes some way towards making up for past mistakes. Love the pictures.

“a brighter yet to come must be” great line.

This is good. When I read your word I drift inside the pictures.

I agree with C. Jordan…that is a terrific line. I found that I was really identifying with what you were saying and you were able to put into words what I have been feeling but unable to express. The art is your usual brilliant work. Very nicely done, Bill!

And you make me ponder on similar words I had written many moons ago about a love and regret. So cosmic and yet so down to earth. Keep spinning them, twisting them and weaving them…the words of creation…for words are mother to creation. love your style. sick.
