This is a poem I am proud of that, because it showed the confidence of a Black woman in life.

I am an African American,

who watches her race hit rock bottom after giving up on

the fight, Martin Luther King’s fight for justice,

I am more than just a statistic in the history books.

More than a painter, More than a little girl,

trying to find a voice in this America.

I am an African- American woman,

who is struggling to grasp the truth behind fate and

God’s plan, It is imperative to show the world that

A woman, more or less An African- American has spoken

the truth about life.

I am an African-American, who has overcame the struggle

and achieved to success,

Remembering those who made it possible for me and my

generation to come. It is imperative for life, all

because I am Africa, A piece of mother Africa,

An African- American Woman.
