Maintain with what you have.
When will I come to a place?
so I can rest,
I’m tired of all this mess,
I have come along way,
just to enjoy my day.
From the sweat running down my face,
thank you Lord for your wonderful grace.
your grace is sufficient, and keeps me on my way,
so I can only say,
Thank you Lord!

South African sunrise watching me,
allowing me to stand in all,
making sure that I don’t fall
Into the cracks of the shaken ground,

as the jug on top of my head,
filled with water,
for my little daughter.
Wishing for rain,
so I can maintain my families’ garden,
before it tries to harden and spoil away.
But do I worry,
we have enough curry and rice,
to even feed the mice,
that keeps the bugs from coming
our lives stay full.
after all God gives,
Trees full of spices,
Thank God there’s nobody to raise the prices,
batted cows we drink from,
taste sweet like, good old Jamaica rum.
Steaming from the sun
burning against my skin,
trying to pull me in,
shinning light, shinning within,
Quiets my spirit and keeps the peace in,

Lord knows its time to release,
from the pain that I affiliate inside me,
having 8 mouths to feed,
Lord only knows what I need.
I’m all on my own,
poor and in need
but with God we still can succeed.
