We go through life collecting things, none of which we can take with us when we leave this world. The true question is what will they remember about you after your gone?
After I’m gone I want my words to live on
I hope you hear the words of my songs
once I finish my race, you may forget about my face
I hope the message I lived will live on
Nothing I do really matters without him
no money, no wealth, not even my health
could pay the price that he paid
no one here on earth could make the sacrifice he made
my whole life was indebted to Christ
I just hope that’s the legacy I leave
Even though I’m still here
and death may not be near
I want to prepare for the time that it comes
don’t want to wait too late, for I don’t know when
my lord and saviour could come back again
or may death greets me and the Good Lord meets me
don’t want to be caught up in sin!
until then I’ll try to keep my light burning bright
The bible says he’s coming like a thief in the night.
