A poem about the darkness that comes during the storm….and the light that is found after its passing…

The driving wind

The pouring rain

Will we ever see the sun again

Echoed roars

From raging seas

Blackened clouds

Are all I see

Thunder booms

And lightening strikes

Illuminate the dark of night

The monster strikes upon the shore

With a strength and force

Not seen before

But when it’s done

And the storm has passed

What is left in her widespread path

Homes are lost

But hearts are found

Neighbors gather

From all around

To help rebuild

And start anew

To you, fierce storm

We bid adieu
