Reaching a hundred degrees Fahrenheit would be pain; May brings forth the Sun’s radiant rays.
The scarlet sky painted beyond cotton clouds
Led to dew drops that simmered the ground
A flare, a sparkle, an immense glowering
A bellowing warmth that touched the crowd
Rejoice in summer with festivities and fun
Leave the mistakes and forget what’s done
Laid back beneath the summer heat
Partly shaded yet in the wake of our Sun.
Freedom with its tangy blur
I learned to swallow and concur
Engulfed by its freely flames
Caused chaos but not a stir.
Restless humidity, yet relentless time
Despite the heat we’d otherwise be fine
But we must play and abide by summer’s rules
I insist you sit back and enjoy the ride.
