A poem on AIDS (Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome)
A malady with obstinacy
Like a fire in the forest, it comes
Into man’s allodium
Refusing any elixir
Like a shadow of death
In its elusive idiosyncrasy
Sparing not any
The genteel, the bourgeois, and the plebeian
With all its minacity
People remain unflinching
Perpetuated in illicit uxoriousness
As if it is all hoax
Gusto without tutelage
Yet our health is our pelf
Once infected
No fresh lease of life
The apoxem?
Abstinence from bed hopping
Persistence with the affianced
Cautiousness with infected matters
