Defeated by poor health.

Source

Prickly, irritating,

Sore and red,

Eating my insides,

Chewing at my existence,

Endurance on the verge of

Exasperation

A mild distraction- a minute’s

Excitement

Then complete blackness

Beyond comprehension

The pain’s protraction

On and on,

In sight no reduction,

Torn personality

Cloven vitality

Recurring frailty.

No aid at hand

Just a plea for mercy

Lips proud and silent

Heart imploring lenity.
