This is about Poetry and how poetry is used in real life.
Poetry is used in real life due to how we feel, and what we are inspired by. Some authors, such as Shel Silverstine , Maya Angelou, and Emily Dickinson write their poems based on how they feel, what they go through in their lives, or just to let readers get a good laugh out of their poems. When we read poetry we seem to understand what the poem is explaining to us, and we are able to talk about our feelings and opinions on poems. One of my favorite poems is “Phenomenal Woman” by Maya Angelou because it taught me that no matter what other people think of me I am always going to be a good woman, and that I should understand that I can do things if I put my mind to it. Another poem I like is “Anything Can Happen” by Shel Silverstine. This poem is a poem that says that no matter where we are or what we do anything can happen, whether it is unexpected or not. Poetry is something that relaxes us because it helps relieve stress and it let’s us express what we feel, and it teaches us how to live a good life, but sometimes poetry can be funny because every once and a while we could use a good laugh to cheer us up when we feel upset or tired from some of the things we do. Poetry can be good, and sometimes it could be bad but when we read poetry by different authors we can understand where it is going and we can get a sense of how we feel.
