I had attended a Catholic Women’s Retreat as cynthia lathom, where I wrote a variation of this poem, I had given it away and unfortunately I didn’t keep a copy for myself. I only remember bits and pieces and somehow this one though similar is not the same. Sometimes I have a tune going through my mind as with this one. I do not at this time have a way to "sing or hum" to give you an idea of how this would sound. And at this time, February 26, 2003, I do not know how to "write" music.

Sometimes I wonder what you have in mind,

sometimes I think, that I won’t find,

Sometimes I feel the path is hard to see

Though I know thy love has set me free.

Alleluia! Praise the Lord.

Alleluia! Praise the Lord.

Sometimes I wonder, why we can’t live

can’t get along, or willing to give.

Afflictions and trials always make me weep

sometimes the mountains appear to steep.

Alleluia! Praise the Lord.

Alleluia! Praise the Lord.

How I wish that I could serve,

help my brethren thy love to preserve

how I wish that thy love to express

helping others in their distress.

Alleluia! Praise the Lord.

Alleluia! Praise the Lord.

Help me to love others

the way thou loves me.
