Guantanamo lives in American prisons

by putting people into the hole

for months and years

at a time

petty infractions such as

talking back to an officer

or refusing to obey an order

allows authorities to treat the offenders

as disobedient slaves

this torture tactic is no different

than water boarding

isolation in this way destroys the

human need to associate

mental illness and insanity

often results from this

evil act of inhumanity

inmates are already locked up

concealing them in the hole

does not solve any problems

absolute control of power

grows into

“Abuse of power”

no one oversees those who freely

abuse at will

allowing these abuses of power

leads to legal torture

and humanity becomes

lost in evilness
