An eclectic girl set out to paint a masterpiece.
The town of Ally Aurora, is a little different than it may seem
It has balloons flying in the air and its firetruck is pained green.
It keeps the boats on the sidewalks and the emus in the park,
And the carolers go out caroling, every night after dark.
One special little girl was born to this artful little town,
And they named her Ally Aurora, to commemorate what they had found.
So surprising she was at birth that she baffled all the nurses
And she grew up wise and willing and studied all the verses.
But she really took to painting, with wide strokes and brushes,
Adding vast depths of field while shading the final touches.
She played around with various colors, the pinks, the reds, and blues,
sometimes with vibrant radiating lights, sometimes with subtle hues.
But she wanted to paint a masterpiece, not knowing where to start,
So she took out canvas and easel and set out with her art.
She painted Mother Nature adapt with deep blue seas,
She painted Golden Eagles soaring high among the breeze.
Then she set out for the North and put her ear to the ground.
She decided for her masterpiece to capture the color of sound.
No home would hold her masterpiece, no museum, not a palace.
Painting the nighttime Arctic sky, the Aurora Borealis.
