Look what you’ve done to us

you’ve lost friends and turned them into enemies

made me do things I said I’d never do

you have caused me destruction and sadness

throughout this year

broken promises and hearts

without a care in the world

I know this isn’t me

Or is it?

Maybe I’m the one causing pain and sadness

maybe you have had the good intentions all along

I stare in the mirror and all I see is you

with a sick smile on your face

and a look of triumph

knowing that at one point I gave up

But a new year brings new beginnings

and I won’t let you get ahead again.

I now give you a black rose

and announce a funeral for you
