A poem that I wrote a long time ago.

Around my feet

As we grab our ankles

And begin to squeeze

The pain gets worse

As we walk on rocks

Broken glass

And metal locks

I think this is the way

We all will die

As we keep on living

Our dreadful lives

We don’t know it now

But as soon as we do

Our lives will change

Along with me and you

I love the way it works

And the way it goes

And the way it develops

And the way it shows

Do you see me

Or walk on by

As I stop and turn

To say a simple hi

People will do this

And take it for shame

Because everyone around us

Is considered lame

Political terms

Of lies and fakes

Is putting our world

On its stakes

Open your eyes

And you will see

That everyone around you

Will still bleed

What you do

And how you do it

Affects the people

That go through it

So keep on walking

When that person says hi

And see how soon

You really will die

People run

People cry

People live

People lie

We all do it

We are all ashamed

But God wont turn on us

With our name

Keep calling him stupid

Keep calling me dumb

As soon as I get to

I will make you numb

Ill take your eyes

So you cant see

Who I am

And what I’ll be

Ill take your skin

So you cant feel

So you wont know

What isn’t real

Ill take your mouth

So you cant speak

Those evil words

You say to me

And when I do

Take these things

I pray that you

Are left with rings

Of blood and nails

Like God did hurt

When we decided

That he was dirt

What we do

Is exactly this

With every word

And every kiss

We call you names

Judge by race

Hate by fate

Love by face

Looks are true

And so is love

So look beyond

And above

Our eyes may see

The world before

I see you

And that’s what I adore

Behind the skin

I still miss

Behind your touch

Behind your kiss

We fear of death

And living again

But if we don’t die

Wouldn’t that be a sin?

I would think so

And so should you

When we decide

To face the truth

We go by lies

And behind our eyes

Is the true meaning

That makes us cry

When we cry

Its not what we miss

Its not what we want

Its something we did

So look around you

And be alert

Of all the people

Everyday we hurt

We don’t know it now

We will really soon

Its in our blood

And its in our womb

So when that person

Comes in your life

That you think you love

And you think you will die

That person who puts

That feeling in you

You cry in there face

And still be okay too

Take them by the hand

And show them around

Your life

You love

And even your hometown

Love them like never before

Kiss them without a sound

Make love anywhere

Even on the ground

Feel the earth arise

As you look

In their eyes

You know you have made the right decision

So know you can go on living

But if someone was to stop once and tell you hi

You better remember to say it back

Everyday of your life

Cause you never know

When you could

Be hit by a car

Or killed in the woods

Raped to death

Then slaughtered to bleed

Doing drugs

Like pot and weed

That day will come

That you might be

In the hospital

Not on the street

you’ll die in your sleep

If you finally care

About the world before us

And the love we share

We are all the same people

So why be ashamed

Of our love and hope

And damn even our name?

Its sad to hear

Those words spoken

When you know someone’s heart

Is being broken

Lets just give it a rest

And live in least

So now maybe

We can live in world peace!

Strong rhyme and a lot of feeling.
