How can you hang around those people
Call yourselves one of them and not be
Dragged away, not stumble and pick up
Their dirty habits?

Understanding would come if every once
And a while you would let go, say goodbye
And dial the number from someone on the
Outside, but somebody might see.

Foul language is the first to come, as long
As know one important is around to hear
What you say right? If that morality goes
Why not give the rest up? Then live a life
of unregretful sin as long as know one sees.

I forgot God only sees what we do when
Were around the people that “matter” I
Mean your testimony means only so much
Right? Your representation can be repaired
Later right?

I hate to be so legalist, but in a world where
Giving up is so almost a conclusive
Preoccupancy people need something more
To see a better example not you to feed their
Bad representation. 

What happened to 2nd Corinthians chapter
Five verse 20? Has our ambassadorship
Ended because we are among friends or isn’t
This exactly where god wanted us to be
What he so elegantly is?

To be like Christ in all we do may be hard
When all around us is covered in so much
Less. Make what you be everything that he
Is and sure you maybe so much less, but
With his holy spirit sharing your breath
So much is possible.
