An Analogy of Pleasure

Give me a flower
with no fragrance sweet –
Wild, yet providing
heart-easing pleasure!…

Poem:

Give me a flower

With no fragrance sweet –

A thing of beauty

I’ll be happy to greet,

As one of Nature’s

soul-stirring treasure.

Inspiring and giving me

Joy and pleasure!

Find me a person

no matter how plain:

Unpretentious, yet never

a tireless bore –

Someone I’d want

to meet again –

And express my delight

As I’ve done so before!

It´s interesting to want a plain person who isn´t boring and one wants to see again. it happens that people who seem dull or plain may give one or two surprises. In this case we could see that not all that glitters is gold. Good poem. Thanks for sharing.
