A poem that captures the spirit of late Autumn.

Bitter wind blow

And bring me the stories

Of your courtship with leaves

Brightly colored and dancing

Joyful at your icy fingers stroking

And bring me the stories

Of frost in the morning

Frozen diamonds on verdant blades

Melting away at the lover’s touch

Of golden rays

And bring me the stories

Sung by the stars

On cold, biting nights

That are warmed by arms wrapped around me

As the bitter wind blows
