It was an electric rainbow sky

 the night the moon dripped blood

Black birds fell from the solar display

 like little bullets

The sun turned black and night was day

The fish floated up bloated and frayed

Golden showers of stars fell on the earth

Man stood in wonder and fright and helplessness

The oceans roared up and covered the land

Volcanoes erupted and fire lighted the sand

A single crystal fell to earth

as the earth tipped and swayed

Make way, sang the crystal ,you’re in the way

The crystal’s laughter was like tiny bells

You’ve made such a mess of the planet earth

You are all destined to go to hell

Another planet has come to take your place

The crystal laughed on and on at man’s fall from Grace!
