An unquenchable thirst within my soul sees me longing for water from a stream that flows. In spite of my efforts to drink from it, I just cannot seem to get enough.

I’ve an unquenchable thirst within my soul that is expressed in different ways.

It’s a longing which never seems to disappear.

I drink and drink but still I’m never satisfied.

Unbelievably, I still feel as though my mouth is dry.

My stomach is empty.

- – -

“Where is the water?”  I cried.

“Give me cool flowing water!  I want to drink of this precious stream.”

My heart races as it longs for more and more.

It’s through my penetrating vision that I know how much more of it I desire.

My hands will never stop trying to grasp for this cool liquid.

- – -

My splashing around continues to extend into the night.

This evolves when the sun is bright and extends into the dark of night.

It’s my longing that sees a delight as I thirst for this dream that flows by.

You my babbling water runs into the Danube.

And, I wonder why in spite of it all, my thirst keeps welling up within me.

    john 4:13
“Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: 14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. ”
