There are those that walk through their lives seemingly without purpose, not knowing who they are or what they believe in. They tend to seek the advice of those that haven’t a clue and in the same boat as they are, and detest advice from those that do have the knowledge to really help them.

I grieve for those that are dying without cause.

Those that are blinded by self built walls.

An unwavering mind-set which is far from true.

Believing in what, they haven’t a clue.

They seek the advice of worldly riff-raff,

and in the face of the truth, a spiteful laugh.

Pitiful souls walking day after day

without purpose and hard as clay.

Will they ever open their minds to learn,

or continue on this chaotic sojourn?

DB…for the third time I have voted that I like this thought-provoking, slightly philosophical piece…makes you wonder about people who continue searching for wisdom when it has already been imparted to them,,,thanks and take care

Nice flow. I like how the last line sounds and the power behind it.
