A sonnet bringing out the ills of getting angry.

Anger triggers contempt and hatred

Being angry, destroys values sacred

Raises one’s blood pressure, makes him tense

Costs him  his friends and drives  beyond the fence

Lo! Anger sure is the worst foe of man

Avoiding anger with wisdom one can

Anger with us sure the cause of all woes!

Faith in God, self and people helps one keep

Cool, saves from falling into crises deep

While in anger sharp, better not to speak

Words go uncontrolled and hurt very steep

Focus changed, mind diverted rids anger

Anger – the thief, steals all one’s peace of mind

What anger achieves not, kind approach does!

If only everyone follows this prescription, the world would be better place to live in. I am reminded of ONE OF THE ‘KURALS’ which goes some thing like this…. INJURIES CAUSED BY TONGUE ( due to indiscriminate and uncontrolled usage of inappropriate words) NEVER HEAL.
