Upon her graduation was given this, poem I wrote for my best friend and mentor during our stay in Little House recovery. A very special woman that help me stay strong and make it through recovery. I will never forget you Angie.

One of a kind person that gets a job done

But would not be complete without a little bit of fun

Your there to help us and ready to share

Experience, strength and hope because you really care

I know you have courage and you seem very wise

But there’s a wee part of devil in disguise

Always up to something you know this to be true

Like telling the newcomers things they shouldn’t do

Do your chores and mine you tell the new baby

Thinking to themselves who is this crazy lady

As time goes by we learn you are not staff

We can breath again and all begin to laugh

Everything you have done here will remain in all our hearts

You have taught some of us how this new life starts

Continue your sobriety learning more each day

Please come back and share

Angie’s Sober Way
