Poem about an angry housewife.
Drudgery and work,
All day long.
Look at this picture.
It’s terribly wrong.
Dusting, mopping, sweeping too,
Doing all the cooking,
What’s a housewife to do?
No relief in sight.
Demand upon demand,
It isn’t right.
Rebellion is in the air.
Husband, share the load
Or you’ll soon beware.
Housewife, it’s time to go on strike.
Tell your husband that you don’t like
To be treated like an old, worn out mop.
Tell your husband that you’re ready to drop.
If your husband doesn’t listen to you,
Send him out of the house until he has a clue.
