Animal

In the middle of the road,

There is an animal,

That animal is me,

Some car got it killed,

And for rush, or disaffection,

Didn’t care and didn’t stop.

The animal is dead,

But life kept going,

Everyone passes, and no one looks,

To that animal that is me.

One car passes, plus another,

And step a little more,

No one cares if it’s suffering,

Or, if by someone it’s been loved.

The animal suffers in silence,

And, slowly is dying,

It’s possible that someone stops,

And, helps it to survive.

But no, I think that it is too late,

It’s hardly breathing, and the fur,

That before was soft and shinny,

It’s now covered in blood,

And slowly, the animal is dying,

It’s sad, no one noticed, and it died swiftly.
