If you asked someone to list names of animals, you probably get such answers as dog, horse, squirrel, lion, and mouse.

Very few people would think of snakes, clams, robins, or earthwprms. Yet all are members of the vast and wonderful kingdom of animals. We are members of it. So are amoebas, herrings, elephants, and penguins. The big animal kingdom is divided into groups called classes. Birds form one class. Insects are another class. So are fishes. Still other classes include lobsters, clams, worms, and jellyfish. Snakes belong to one class. Frogs belong to another. We ourselves belong to the class called mammals-along with dogs, horses, elephants, monkeys, and many others. (Mammals are animals that nurse their young on milk.) Together the members of the animal kingdom offer a wondrous variety of life.

You are right. Humans are part of this pyramid of food cycle and nature.

I think sometimes people forget about other animals, honestly if I was asked to name an animal I dont think snake would be at the top of my list. Maybe its because we see some animals more than others?

I hope the mosquitoes and cockroaches stay far away from my house. They can roam everywhere except my house.
