Tired of the rain.

Image via Wikipedia

Another rainy day again,
Nothing to do here inside.
Outside it’s pouring down,
Thunder crashes overhead.
Hail the size of golf balls,
Engraving dents in my car.
Ravaging my hood and top,

Ruining my nice paint job.
All day it’s been raining,
Inside I’m trapped again.
Nothing fun for me to do,
Yawning from the boredom.
Downpours we are having,
All day and all night long.
Yearning for a clear day,
A chance to go outside.

Going crazy here inside,
All I can do now is sleep.
I wish the sun would shine,
Need a breath of fresh air.

    Darla,

Don’t be bored…I’m sure there’s something you can think of to do. Nice piece though.

Nice piece, Darla. Every embarrassing life scene is an opportunity to make some poetry and find some meaning.

You would never make it where I live since it rains so much. It would give you much to write about though.

Don’t worry rain is after all only seasonal;until then you have to bear with.

I really enjoyed reading this poem about rain. It epitomises a feeling of being trapped indoors and not being able to go out due to the weather. Excellent!!

Nicely written! I don’t know if I could sleep if my car was getting banged with golf ball size hail, though! LOL Good luck!

This is great, Darla. I know the feeling about the rain. It’s been raining here in NJ a lot too. In fact, it has rained all day. You described the way I’m feeling perfectly.

We’re not even allowed to use sprinklers or wash cars. Huge drought and this is supposed to be subtropical. Give me some of your rain.
